DULCE SHERMAN
“Dulce Sherman is the Owner & Chief Executive Advisor of Sherman Executive Consulting, Inc.
She partners with business and nonprofits leaders to provide interim leadership, Human Resources
and Operations expertise. Sherman is a senior certified professional by the Society for Human
Resources management SCP-SHRM, obtained a Master of Arts degree in Business Management,
Bachelor of Arts degree in HR Management, a graduate-level certificate in Organizational
Development and has 30 years of Human Resources experience.
Sherman has been highly focused on community service, served on several boards and achieved
several awards like the 50 over 50 by The BLOC Nebraska and the WCA Tribute to Women
honoree. A mother of four boys, her ultimate passion is her family. Having lost her youngest son
Jon-Jon to suicide, she is living his legacy of being kind through her personal and consulting work.
Every aspect of who she works with quickly learns how important empathy and compassion can
be threaded through our daily conversations, an organization’s leadership, policies, and benefits to
ensure the well being and health of its employees.
To give you a better idea of how she wants us think seriously about an important topic, she recently
was asked to speak at an ICAN 7x7x7 speaking event. She was tasked to speak about a topic for
seven minutes among seven other speakers. She took the question to heart. What if instead the
question was about “My last seven minutes” on earth. She challenged all of us to think about
how different our work/personal conversations would be if we approached every conversation as if
it were our last seven minutes. In just seven minutes, you could save a life.”
